Notes Durand writes about camper Kobe at the Jim Larranaga basketball camp last week.
“This is Kobe. He’s a camper at the Jim Larranaga University of Miami basketball camp that I currently work. Today he brought tears to my eyes. Kobe has diabetes, poor hearing which makes him wear two hearing aids, and causes difficulty of speech. For a kid to come to camp as enthused as he does everyday as helped me to realize life is to precious for one to greave over. Today upon dismissal Kobe ran to me with his arms open ready for a hug and said “goodbye Durand Scott, your a super star” & as I picked him up with a tight hug a tear of joy ran down my face 😢 Now that’s life for you ….”
